  TMD Therapy

The most common sign of the mandibular disorder that dentists call TMD is pain in the chewing muscles or jaw joint. Some patients experience a radiating pain in the face, neck or shoulders, or a grating or popping sound when closing their mouth. Occasional locking of the jaw is another symptom, or a sudden change in the way that upper and lower teeth fit together. Headaches and earaches are sometimes also linked to TMD, and if you experience any of these symptoms, treatments are available to make you more comfortable and to relieve the pain associated with the disorder. TMD symptoms can also be an early sign of angina, so it’s best to let us know if you are suffering from any of these warning signs.
