  Meet Our Dentists

Dr. Michael Hornyak

A Strathroy native, Dr. Michael Hornyak attended the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Dentistry, graduating with distinction and awards in Oral Radiology, Restorative Dentistry and general proficiency. For the past 28 years, he has also served as an adjunct professor at the UWO Schulich School of Dentistry for which he was awarded the WW Wood Award for excellence in dental education. Dr. Hornyak is the Head of Dental Services at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and maintains privileges at University Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital in London. He has been granted Fellowships in the International College of Dentistry and is a recognized professional in dental surgery, dental implants, and comprehensive dentistry. He and his wife Shelly have two children in university, and Dr. Mike is an avid sponsor of local sports.

Dr. Paul Howley

Dr. Paul Howley hails from beautiful Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and received his graduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the acclaimed Acadia University. The University of Western Ontario’s School of Dentistry lured him westward, and it was here at Western that he met his wife, Tanya. After receiving awards for his work in areas such as restorative dentistry and removable dentures, Paul and Tanya decided to make their home in Strathroy. Paul has continued his education in his chosen field and has become qualified in a number of specialized techniques, but is best described a skilled professional in dental implants, restorative dentistry, and comprehensive treatment planning. In his spare time Paul enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his two young sons.

Dr. Feonagh Paterson

Dr. Feonagh Paterson was raised in Calgary, Alberta. She crossed the country to Quebec and McGill University to pursue her Bachelor of Science Degree, graduating with distinction. She then decided to pursue a career in dentistry, and relocated to London, studying at the University of Western Ontario. Following graduation, she practised in St. Thomas and Calgary before joining the team in Strathroy in 2007. Feonagh is an ardent fan and practitioner of all aspects of dentistry, but feels that family dentistry is her particular calling. An animal lover, Feonagh also has an interest in fashion and enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, and her crew of “awesome boys.”

Dr. Nick Masse

Dr. Nick Masse grew up in the small town of Thorndale, Ontario. A graduate of the University of Waterloo, his fascination with science led to a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001, followed by a Master’s of Science degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Western Ontario. He also spent a year of research in Kinesiology before being accepted to the dental program at Western where he was awarded a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009. Nick has continued his association with UWO where he maintains a part-time faculty position, teaching students in the dental emergency clinic. Father of a young son and daughter, he likes to play pickup hockey in the winter and slo-pitch softball in Thorndale in the warmer weather.
