A Strathroy native, Dr. Michael Hornyak attended the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Dentistry, graduating with distinction and awards in Oral Radiology, Restorative Dentistry and general proficiency. Since 1987, he has also served as an adjunct professor at the UWO Schulich School of Dentistry for which he was awarded the WW Wood Award for excellence in dental education.

 

Dr. Hornyak is the Head of Dental Services at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and maintains privileges at University Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital in London. He has been granted Fellowships in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy and is a recognized professional in dental surgery, dental implants, and comprehensive dentistry for which he sometimes gives lectures to fellow dentists and dental students. He and his wife Shelly have two children, Nicole, a teacher and Ryan, a dental surgeon.  Dr. Mike is an avid sponsor of local sports and community events.

Dr. Paul Howley hails from beautiful Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and received his graduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the acclaimed Acadia University. The University of Western Ontario’s School of Dentistry lured him westward, and it was here at Western that he met his wife, Tanya. After receiving awards for his work in areas such as restorative dentistry and removable dentures, Paul and Tanya decided to make their home in Strathroy.

 

Paul has continued his education in his chosen field and has become qualified in a number of specialized techniques, but is best described a skilled professional in dental implants, restorative dentistry, and comprehensive treatment planning. In his spare time Paul enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his two young sons.

Dr. Feonagh Paterson was raised in Calgary, Alberta. She crossed the country to Quebec and McGill University to pursue her Bachelor of Science Degree, graduating with distinction. She then decided to pursue a career in dentistry, and relocated to London, studying at the University of Western Ontario. Following graduation, she practised in St. Thomas and Calgary before joining the team in Strathroy in 2007.

 

Feonagh is an ardent fan and practitioner of all aspects of dentistry, but feels that family dentistry is her particular calling. An animal lover, Feonagh also has an interest in fashion and enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, and her crew of “awesome boys.”

Dr. Ryan Hornyak graduated with distinction from the University of Western Ontario with a bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences. Ryan then went on to complete his doctorate of dental surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy. His training continued with the completion of a hospital residency program through London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care. During his residency, he obtained advanced training in areas of dental trauma, oral cancer, and management of medically compromised patients. He has also held the role as a clinical instructor at the UWO Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.

 

Growing up in Strathroy, Ryan spent much of his free time involved in local sports teams. Ryan and his fiancé Emily are avid lovers of the outdoors.
